Review on Set of 2 Trunk Lift Supports for G37 2007-2013 Q60 2014-2015 Convertible | Part Numbers: 26579, 84430JJ50A, 84430-JJ50A, 84430JJ51A, 84430-JJ51A | PM3146 by Keith Stuckey

This was a simple direct replacement for a 2010 Infiniti G37S trunk strut. They replace the original trunk racks made for Nissan in Germany. I would say they are just as strong as the originals. So if you're looking for stronger ones because you added a rear trunk spoiler, you may need to look further. Since my trunk has a native lining, they work about how I remembered the originals working before they deteriorated. The originals only seem to last about 2 years and I have had the dealer replace mine several times under warranty. There are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to replace them and if you have a helper to hold the trunk lid you can do both in about 5 minutes! The only slight downside is that there is a "Lift Supports Depot" sticker on the shelves which I will probably remove another day. Time will tell if they will withstand the cold and even last 2 years like the originals.
