Review on Renewed Logitech MX ERGO Advanced Wireless Trackball for Windows PC and Mac by Agata Wydra ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

I acquired a Logitech M570 out of curiosity about five years ago, and since since then I've been obsessed with trackballs. The M570 was not perfect, but there was no other model like it. When I spotted this model, I was unable to ignore it and move on. This model eliminated a significant number of the issues that the one before it had: - the mouse wheel no longer rotates after being used for a half a year - a battery is more convenient than batteries - ergonomics, ERGO in the name is not just a word - it fits nicely in the hand - build quality and materials have been considerably better in recent years - If this is the first time someone has used a trackball, then I'm not sure if it's a good idea to immediately get the mx ergo because it's very expensive and not everyone like using trackballs. m570 strikes me as the most appropriate choice in this particular scenario. If the cost is not outrageous, then you should accept it because I have never been let down by a purchase of this kind. It is not in my future plans to go back to the m570.

Pros
  • Rests easily in the palm of the hand. Powered by an internal battery that cannot be removed but may be charged from a computer using the micro-USB connector that is included in the package. In the course of the task, the brush does not become fatigued, as was frequently the case with the mouse; nevertheless, when the intensity was raised, the thumb did become fatigued for the first time. The ball has a predictable inertia, which means that you may move the cursor from one corner of the screen to the other with a single well-adjusted movement, but it can take up to three clicks of the mouse to accomplish the same thing. The ball is held more securely in its socket, so it won't fall out of the mouse even if you accidentally drop it. This is an improvement over the M570. Yet, it is simple to take off and put back on again after cleaning. You are able to connect to two different devices at the same time. You can connect to one device using the Logitech USB dongle, and you can connect to the other device using bluetooth. There is a sensitivity switch, but the only time I used it was a handful of times and then I stopped using it. Coating made of rubberized.
Cons
  • Price. It comes in at a price that is twice as much as the M570. You won't be able to play action games, but you'll have no trouble playing RPGs or strategy games. Despite the fact that it allows you to engage in conflicts, it is not a viable alternative to using a mouse in this context.
