All edges of AH glassware are rounded and smooth. Some of the other glass baking pans I looked at have square edges. I like rounded edges. Also, the "tongues" on the ends are big enough to use the oven mitt without touching the food. The jar is heavy, easy to clean, and I use it for more than just baking—line it with paper towels, it has bacon in it; Make a mini frittata for two; Marinate the meat in it, cover with cling film. A very versatile size. The two packages were a great deal. Make sure you know how to set the oven temperature when baking with glass.
