This review is for a Superwinch Terra 35. Per KFI fitting instructions; I removed the front bumper and some skid plate bolts. According to the instructions, only a few front underbody protection screws should be unscrewed. I had a lot more freedom by removing two more bolts under the engine, which allowed the skid plate to move freely and get out of the way. When I removed the bumper I found that the two metal tabs on the bracket did not fit on the outside of the two chassis and bumper points. I carefully spread the tabs in the vise about 1/8" apart and installed them. The instructions at this point were ambiguous so I reattached the bumper, which turned out to be a good thing as this action ties the bracket to the chassis and the Bumper aligned. I soon found that there was no way to slide/retract the winch and motor into the very small space between the mounting plate and the bumper/chassis. I removed 2 bolts from the top bumper brace and 2 center bolts leaving the bottom 2 bolts in place.This allowed the bumper to hinge on 2 bottom bolts and pivot away from the front allowing full access to the winch mount.I installed the winch and the bumper/winch plate with the attached winch into place and reinstalled the 4 bumper bolts.D he winch fits in a very tight space, but it fits, which is fine. I have to cut the skid plate on the motor side of the winch sticks out a few inches per plate It took about 3 hours to install the winch. Haven't hooked it up yet, but don't expect it to be another couple of hours. I used two long punches to line up the bolt holes, extension bushings, and my favorite ratcheting box wrenches. Remember to mount the bolts on the front of the bracket with the nuts on the outside, otherwise the winch will not fit; so close!
