Nice thread set

I've had my eye on this set for a long time. Has been on my wish list for ages. The box is clever. The front panel opens and closes with Velcro. You can store the thread in the box. Since purchasing this collection I have continued to use up my old coils and am happy to use some of my new stock. I found it very handy to have on hand. Don't forget to order spools for new thread. This is a bit off topic, but for this yarn I use an extra vertical spool pin that attaches to the top of the bobbin winder instead of the horizontal spool pin that is meant to be used as the main spool pin on my sewing machine. After I got my embroidery machine I did a lot of research and found that thread winds differently and when unwinding works best either vertically or horizontally depending on how it was wound. The bobbins in this kit may work well with your machine, but if you are having trouble try setting the bobbin in a vertical vertical position or in a horizontal position (you may have an adapter that came with your machine), in which the spool rotates and the thread does not come off at the end of the spool. As the filament is pulled from the end of the spool, the filament continues to twist, which your machine may or may not like. I've really noticed a difference in the new Coats roll I bought at my local store. My sewing machine, which I have never had any problems with, had a thread problem. I restarted the car several times and was very frustrated. After the thread was moved to the vertical pin I had no more problems with it. Since then I have always used a vertical pin for these types of coils and a horizontal pin for cross-wound coils. For large cone spools, I mount the spool behind the machine with or without a spool holder. I also cut out a round piece of felt for the spool. I've read that if the spool is spinning too fast, it's supposed to help. I don't seem to need this, but there might be another thing you could try if you're having trouble for some reason. I bought another machine with modern horizontal coil orientation. No vertical spool holder was included. I'll post a photo of what's happening with the thread. Everything was fine with the car, but all turns caught up with the top of the car. Once I got the spool in a vertical position I had no more twist. I ended up buying the Creative Options Thread Organizer to keep all my new and old threads together.
