For some reason it's hard to find gasket material. Just a few years ago, pads were much more likely to be cut from this padding material. I had an issue with water leaking around the pad on the hot and cold water buttons. The fiberglass tub is not perfectly level where the water handles are. I needed spacers about 2 inches in diameter with a center hole about 1 3/4 inches. I wasn't sure how thick I needed it to be until it was cut and installed. A thickness of 1/8 inch is ideal as you can add layers as needed to achieve the desired thickness. I needed 2 gaskets for each socket (heating + cooling + shower switch). The 3 sheets included in the kit are more than enough for the spacers needed. I am very happy with the quality of the material and will buy again in the future if needed. This is probably not something you need to deal with on a regular basis, but when you have a water leak in your home, it is very important to fix the problem. This product gives you the material you need.
