Advice for use with a Cobalt MJ-600 pump or any pump really

Reactor great so far very basic don't think I will have any problems with this. In case you don't know (like I didn't until I happily read this somewhere) there is a Phosban extension kit that also allows you to hang the reactor on your tank, just perfect for me as I have a Nanotank 14 got gallons and no swamp You can find it here on Amazon for $7. Also, no one will tell you which pump to use with it. I read somewhere about using the Cobalt MJ600 and I did, $33. It turns out that if you reduce the flow rate from 160 GPH to 20 GPH, which is the recommended capacity for a reactor, the pump will (unsurprisingly) want to explode. Don't ask me why it takes up to 250 gallons per hour to flow 20 gallons per hour. Obviously you are putting too much resistance to the motor and the pump will vibrate like crazy making a lot of noise and eventually braking in the long run. It might not happen if you use the recommended 100 GPH minimum, I doubt it. Maybe that's why there is no pump. Anyway, I have no idea how everyone handles it, but it's either a workaround or a rejection of the whole reactor idea. So here's a tip: Drill a few holes in the downspout below the waterline, which relieves pressure and makes ZERO noise for a smooth and beautiful system. I even made a diagram, check it out. Get a reactor, an expansion kit, a pump of at least 100 gph, a phosban environment, get rid of those pesky algae forever and be happy forever (including fish)!
