Great purchase! c Lenses for SLR cameras

Good. If you're buying this lens, you probably know it's an affordable alternative to Leica glass. With that in mind, I've been shooting a lot with this lens on my Sony A7ii using the basic Fotasy adapter (which isn't that bad and gets the job done cheaply). The lens itself looks very cool. which I like a lot! The shots also have a very unique look that I would say is not really duplicated by other glass. I think this lens is the best for portrait photography. Sharpness: I'll admit it's a bit softer wide open, but that sacrifice comes at the expense of nice subject separation. Blurred objects in photos look kind of "pop". F1.4 to F2 It's not clinically sharp like Leica glass, Canon L or Sigma Art, but I'm okay with that. At F2.8 and higher it can get very sharp. I have a few shots that surprised me with sharpness when I zoomed out. Color: Beautiful color, people have great skin tones and I find it shines best in warm, natural light. Bokeh/Depth: The bokeh is a bit saturated at times, but I think it helps draw attention to the subject. Also, the bokeh has a slight swirl when the corners are wide open, giving the lens an almost vintage look. Some people like it because it's not a very common feature in lenses these days. It's hard to explain, but the people in the photos just stand out from the rest of the photo with a certain depth. It's not my idea of standard wide angle blur/blur that I'm familiar with as I shoot a lot of wide angle prime lenses, but it's just a really cool feeling to take pictures and photos make people look more realistic. That's where he impresses me the most. Vignette: It has a slight darkening in the corners at wide open, but some people still add vignetting in post these days. In my opinion, this is not necessarily a disadvantage. Fault: The main thing I don't like about this lens is the focus distance. It's nearly a meter long, preventing some of those close-ups and personal details. I am planning to either buy a close focus adapter that will easily solve this problem or I will buy a new Techart AF adapter. experienced photographers. I think the photo/portrait look this lens produces is a rare treat when it comes to lenses.
