I bought the 45lb / 200N version for the 20lb root cellar hatch. One post will not hold the hatch, but two posts (90lbs/400N) will do. Not sure how to figure out which rack to buy other than through trial and error. The screws that come with the kit are very short and small and I replaced them prior to installation. The installation dimensions given in the product description did not fit me. I think when in doubt, buy the next size and weight class and play with it for a while until it works.
