The hole in the middle helps the condensate get on the table.
I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star so that I can fix the problem. And I love the product so much that I will fix it instead of just sending it back for a refund. They have a hole in the middle. In your candy course, water flows through the hole and spills onto the table. This is exactly what the coaster is supposed to prevent.
