Review on 💾 Seagate 7200RPM Desktop SATA Hard Drive with Enhanced Cache by Tony Trotter

11/08/2014 Downgraded to one star. The hard drive worked for two and a half weeks, then it gave SMART errors. I entered the serial number into Seagate's warranty checker and was told there was no information on this drive. I'll have to call them to see if they honor the warranty. In the meantime I need to buy another drive to keep my client running while this one gets fixed. 2 weeks. Serious! ok, i forgot once the problem was solved. I called Seagate the day after the first call back. They assured me that the drive was indeed under warranty and since it was so new they would send a new one. I gave them my CC information to use if I never returned the failed drive. They sent a shipping label with a replacement drive and I was never billed for the original. The removable disk works exactly as it should. My only regret is not getting paid for my time when I have to call back about a warranty issue, so I was over 2 hours away. get an invoice. At least I didn't have any additional costs.
