Review on Tripp Lite TLP712B Surge Protector Power πŸ’‘ Strip: 7 Outlet, 12ft Cord, Black, $25K Insurance by Robert Patton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

One of the two parts lived 8 months.

I'll take two pieces of 12' 7-socket # TLP712 at a time. On one power button "dangles" than on the other. Everything seems to be working fine. A spare switch connects directly to the desk to power PCs, monitors and chargers. A fixed switch connects directly under the table to provide power to audio and video equipment. Eight months later I move the table and reconnect the idle switch, but it suddenly has a bad connection. In the "on" position, the device can be shaken or the switch pressed, which will break or close the connection. Essentially, this renders the device unusable, as careless shaking on the table can turn off power to all devices on the table. The free switch block has only switched 5-30 times in these eight months as I am not used to switching it off every day. I don't think it has been dropped or mistreated since it got here. So far so good with the other block. They appear to be very robust, but the whole thing seems to have failed due to a small switch. To be honest I will continue to receive renewals from Tripp Lite, but I will not request an RMA here or contact Tripp Lite as I cannot pay $10-$20 for a chance at a $20 replacement. I seem very unhappy since her reviews are like this. high.
