I liked the design.It was weird how screw holes were made of the mid segment of middle shelf. When I try to screw them to connect two plates, the screws did not firmly connect panels. I looked at the manual many times and checked, but I think I followed instruction correctly. I also played around a bit to figure out but I gave up and decided to have them connect just loosely. Once I assemble the whole thing, somehow it stands sturdily, but I just know mid-shelf is loosely sitting in the middle of the structure.It's a low cost product, so I don't expect perfection.The shoe bench should be good for 5 years.
