I have done a few auto repairs over the years and have generally been happy with Dorman parts. However, this is an exception. At about 130,000 miles my 2.5 liter VW Jetta started giving code P2402 for the fuel vapor detection pump so I replaced it with a Dorman part. The Dorman part looks almost identical to the OEM part and is easy to install. The code will repeat for 20 miles. The machine still ran reasonably well, but not quite 100%. Assuming the problem wasn't in that part, I explored other possibilities for several thousand miles. Ultimately, Dorman's part didn't solve my problem. I replaced the fuel vapor detection pump with a factory part (more than 3 times the price) and the code hasn't come up since.
