To speak of an air conditioner is wrong in my opinion, but an air cooler fits. This is very similar to the bubble machine I also bought from Revain. I wouldn't be surprised if they are made in the same factory. It's essentially a fan that can oscillate and has three speeds. When you add water, it atomizes the water and blows noticeably cooler air. This shows that you can also put ice cubes on it, which will presumably give you cooler air as the ice melts. You can see the splashed water and you may get a little wet if you get too close. This works great in the dry environment I'm in, but I wouldn't recommend using this in a humid environment as evaporation plays a role in the cooling process, which doesn't really happen when wet. Also, if you have hard tap water, it's probably best to use distilled water. It seems to hold a charge well. In general, I'm very happy that it's a hot summer.
