I do amateur magic for friends and family and my grandson was interested in tricks. I bought him three children's sets and the quality of the materials in this set is much better. There is a simple optical illusion trick involving rabbits. It is easy for a very young child without skill to handle, but for an adult it should be very obvious. Cardboard is heavy but easy to bend. I had to work with my grandson on the movement of the hand to "stretch" the card. Color-changing tissues were awkward to change and hide the trick in his tiny hands. Switching to a larger map makes a noise when changing a gimmick I'm working on, but remotely and speaking while switching will hide the noise. Disappearing the box was difficult for him because his hands were too small, but it worked for me. The only bad trick was the wand trick. This was cheaper and more difficult for him because there were no stops and the white caps were pulled off in his hands. Generally a good purchase for a beginner wizard. Note: None of the props can be viewed by spectators as they might understand the trick.
