Vertical viewing angles are such that you cannot get a consistent top-to-bottom image no matter where you are or where the monitor is located. When I set up the monitor, it was right in front of me, just like I used to do. But when I was playing a game that tends to be very dark, I noticed that the bottom corners of the screen looked blurry (meaning that blacks were more gray, and detail normally visible in those areas is lost went). When I say bottom corners I mean about 4-5 inches from the sides and bottom to top. It was actually bad enough that I thought it was glare on the screen from the lights in the room, but after turning off the lights I could see it wasn't. I thought it was because of the very limited vertical viewing angle. I raised the monitor a few inches and tilted it back a bit and the fog improved but also started to shift from the bottom of the screen to the top of the screen. In other words, there is no "gold spot" if the problem goes away completely. I just had to find the spot where the problem was least noticeable. Now the monitor is much higher than I would like and tilted back so it's tilted away from me just so I can get a decent picture. Otherwise there is a lot to like. The menu system is great. G sync works well. The stand is great, although I wish it wasn't that deep (when the stand is pushed all the way against the wall, the back of the monitor is about 8 inches from the wall). The included display port cable and power cord are pretty short, so I had to move things around to get them out. The power cord has a brick plug, which does a good job of reducing the monitor's heat, but is cumbersome to plug in.
