Review on LG 27GN650-B Ultragear 27" Adjustable 144Hz Monitor with Height Adjustment, Pivot Capability & Anti-Glare Coating - HDMI Included by Andrew Dikkers

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great monitor! the best in my rating

This is the first monitor I've bought specifically for gaming. I bought this after I finished building my first gaming PC! It arrived in excellent condition, securely packaged. Assembly took about 5-10 minutes, although more experienced people will likely need less time to assemble. I only had trouble lifting parts because it was heavier than expected, although despite its weight it was fairly easy to assemble. In any case, performance is more important. I'm mostly a casual gamer. The most competitive games I play are LoL and Apex Legends as I prefer playing single player RPGs and visual novels to anything else. Right now I play everything on high or ultra settings. I also use my current computer for school work. Compared to my old monitor (the old LG Flatron E2350V that I have had since I was a child) the difference is day and night. First, I can actually read text clearly. There's no weird blurring around letters or numbers on the screen, and it doesn't take centuries for the monitor to keep up with my mouse pointer as I perform tasks. In League I have a stable 250-300 FPS, sometimes even more. and the refresh rate will be synchronized with it. No screen tearing or other display errors. Just constant, updated goodness. Unfortunately, I haven't played Apex in a while, so I can't comment on how well my monitor works with my computer in this regard. In other games that I play, the visuals are very appealing. That's a clear definition of images I haven't seen before. Everything is bright and clear. It might just be my graphics card taking the brunt of it all, but my old monitor never worked that well with my new computer, so I'm guessing this new one brings a lot to the table as well. I'm glad I made this investment. The monitor is expensive, so I hope I don't have to buy a new one for a long time. If you want or can afford a higher-end gaming monitor, check out this one. I haven't noticed any bugs or lags yet, but I haven't had this product long. If anything happens I will update my review to clarify the situation.
