I have used Kopertox and bleach but was not happy with the results. Kopertox does not get rid of thrush, it is dirty (like stains in it!) And stinks. Bleach will do, but it can also ruin clothing and is very bad for hooves. My blacksmith recommended I try Huuf Magic, but she said it was hard to find! I don't think she knew where to look - Revane has *everything*! I used Huuf Magic on two horses in our humid, humid climate. We have a lot of mud in the winter and I don't always pick their hooves when I bring them in for the night. I'm still struggling with thrush in a horse (that has bad hooves that have been let loose so they got too long and had very deep crevices for thrush to reproduce) but there seems to be an improvement. The best part is that this product is safer and I don't have to worry if my 3 year old wants to help spray his hooves! It also has a pleasant herbal scent. I have also noticed that the product stays in the hooves longer as I can still smell the product when cleaning, even 3 days after the treatment. In general I am very satisfied. It's not a perfect instant fix because thrush needs to be treated with pets, not just topical treatments. However, this product seems to work just as well if not better than other products and is safer and smells better. I think horses prefer it too!
