I just bought a Surface 3 Type Case for my new Surface 3 and it's my favorite keyboard and case combo at the moment. I have a few different ones for different tablets like the Kindle Fire and this thing is light years ahead. It's super light. It's almost hard to believe it includes a working keyboard as I have regular cases that weigh more than this thing. The keyboard is just fantastic. It has just enough pressure to feel like a regular keyboard, and it actually has that kind of jelly-like effect when you press it, which is oddly satisfying, but maybe that's just me. I tried using it in total darkness and had no problems with it. It looks fantastic. It's not the quietest keyboard, but it's no louder than any regular keyboard I've used. The trackpad is surprisingly good despite its small size. I had no trouble dragging or selecting items across the screen. And that gives enough friction so you know you're in control of the cursor. Pros - Ultra light - Backlit keyboard - Good trackpad friction - Bouncy keystrokes Cons - The price is a bit high - The material makes the black lid more greyish. than anything else overall, though, I recommend the cover type if you want to get the most out of your Surface 3. Not only does it protect that stunning HD screen, but it turns your tablet into a complete laptop with a minimal footprint.
