I was very pleased with this cookware set and didn't mind assembling it as it's very practical. Using pots was fine the first few times, but I boiled water in one and started hearing a loud, intermittent popping sound accompanied by a pungent smell of burnt plastic. the pot itself, I switched burners and tried a larger pot/pot and lo and behold! The same thing! I eventually found that the plastic on the handles literally melts because it's not heat resistant. Now I have $70 pots that can't be used for heating and a house that smells like a Kardashian tan. Don't buy these pans if you don't take pleasure in unpacking worries and disappointments.
