Hot! Very hot. in Ovens and Toasters

This Oven Works Good but is HOT! Very hot. I'm making a casserole right now and it's making the whole kitchen almost unbearable. Be careful when setting up. The oven isn't too big, but it needs some countertop space so it doesn't damage the wall or cabinets. I've checked the meter after several uses and it's undamaged, but I'm interested in the long-term result of space heating over a long period of time. The oven cooks well as advertised. You need to learn how to adjust the top and bottom heating elements as instructed. I overcooked the cheese in a batch of enchiladas and turned off the top element to fix it. I'm waiting for my first utility bill to see if the oven is more or less cost effective than a full size stove. Let everyone in your family know about the heat. Touching this oven while it is operating or while it is cooling down can cause serious burns. The controls are unnecessarily confusing. Some functions require multiple button presses, and adjusting with just one knob and pressing the right button can be confusing. I have an instruction manual next to the oven to get used to the functions. Overall I think they tried to let the device do too much and should isolate it better. I keep it but time will tell how often we use it.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Friability
