I had given up using my Escort Solo2 cordless radar detector because it kept falling off the windshield and became such an annoyance. It was not used afterwards for at least two years. I decided to give this holder a try and it has been like glue on the windshield! Great sticking quality, considering it is now very cold out, and I go from cold to a warm garage and back out. I am in fact going to order another holder for my other car. It still does wiggle a bit as I'm driving on especially rough road, and it shakes a lot less on a smoother road. I was going to tighten it but I didn't want to have an issue detaching it from the holder, as I had done with the holder from the Escort company.
