I had never used capsules as I was convinced it was wasteful and they seemed more expensive. However, after using them, I was convinced that not only are they more convenient, they actually save me money from overusing other powder detergents. The bottle said I should get 55 downloads, but I still used up a bottle a month and only do about 4 clothes loads a week (we're empty nesters). The math didn't add up. It's pre-measured so there's no room for abuse - I'm still in my first bag, so while the cost per use may be higher on paper, I'm actually saving money in the end. (And I love that I don't have bottles upside down, balancing on the washing machine and trying to get every drop out of the bottle!)
