Bought the second one. VERY useful when your car is limited or when the "cigarette lighter" socket is difficult to reach. BOTH seems to be happening in our 2018 Buick Encore. We connect it and use it for all our iPhones or other devices. In this form it is placed in a cup holder, but you can put your hand on the side, the cord is long enough. I think this is REQUIRED when a lot of people in the car forget to charge their devices. I also like the fact that you can cover the "holes/sockets" when not in use to keep dust off of them. So far, so good. It charges normally, there are no battery discharge problems. Nice blue too!
