Yesterday I was trying to start someone else's car and oil or some other liquid spilled on the studs of my TJ and caused a fire. I installed a 2 pound fire extinguisher in this quick release floor mount in front of my driver's seat. I was able to get a fire extinguisher quickly. The large red button is easy to operate even under stress. The fire was extinguished before major damage was done. All you have to do is replace the crampons, clean the engine compartment and find/fix the leak. Regardless of the mount, I believe the extinguisher had some sort of plastic tether that held the pin for the extinguisher. It broke when I pulled hard enough, but I cut myself a bit. If you've been wondering whether these plastic cable ties will break with enough tension, here's the answer. For some reason the mount is a little loose but doesn't rattle when I ride it. It's a minor annoyance, but I can't even complain after today. It probably saved my jeep and is way quicker to use than the stupid velcro mount I had before.
