Starts to break after about 10 months of use

EDIT 01/29/2021: After about 10 months of using this adapter it started to become more and more unstable. It does not maintain a stable connection WHEN plugged in, running speed tests show that its download (and upload) speeds are everywhere. It also started dropping "micro" connections every 10 minutes. So when I do something that requires constant connection, like watching live TV or playing an online game, it completely ruins it. I STRONGLY recommend not doing this. Don't understand this and look for a better alternative. It has a normal connection most of the time, I'm getting somewhere between 130-210Mbps, but one of the issues I'm having is the occasional speed spike for the split. second, and results in stuttering or a momentary pause in live streaming. Running speed tests show that the speed is 200Mbps and then drops by half and then slowly comes back again, so I'm probably lagging due to sudden speed drops when playing online games. Then there's another problem, which is that it completely "turns off" every few hours and I have to unplug and plug it back in to reset it. Problem, but my other much cheaper wifi adapter on another computer has no connection issues all day and maintains a stable connection (although it's much slower and that's the only reason I don't use it on my main computer). Spend big bucks on a reliable Wi-Fi adapter, don't buy this one.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
