These skates got 2 stars for being a very basic pink skate. They're not phenomenal, and here's why: you get what you pay for. Good skates start at $180 and up. I thought it was cute as a temporary set, but in reality they're just dangerous. The material is really cheap polyurethane which makes them very stiff but there is nothing inside to support your ankle and you can't tie the top of the skates very tight to support your ankle. The wheels are NOT for the Suitable for outdoor use. Please for heaven's sake, when you buy them, buy wheels with a hardness of 78A. However, 78A wheels cost the same as these skates. Yes, the toe stop is not adjustable, which is dangerous. Not everyone can ski at the same level and stopping can be a problem. Plastic panels - something not shown on the picture. Bearings are standard, upgraded cost about $13.99. Parts, you could also buy better skates.
