Bad start but it became the best vacuum cleaner - gets stuck too often

This particular vacuum cleaner was meant to be an upgrade from our regular robot vacuum cleaner with no fancy sensors, it has always worked well but often got stuck under furniture or in small corners. Is this a good upgrade? Yes and no. When I got the device, the Android app had serious bugs that made tracking and area blocking impossible, which destroyed the main reason for buying this device. Also, compared to my "dumb" robot vacuum, I have serious issues with this unit trying too hard to get stuck and not trying enough to get out of range. For example, my old vacuum can get stuck at the transition from thick carpet to hardwood floor, but it just steps back to try again or drive around. With this device, he often gives up when the wheel gets stuck and vice versa does not work a bit. t function. Also, my cabinets are just the right height for the vacuum to just secure the top, which wasn't a problem with the previous vacuum as it would easily tell it to get stuck and back out; With this robot vacuum, which can use a LIDAR sensor to tell it's not going to have enough space, it'll get stuck under cabinets if I don't get them to move. Also slopes are a much bigger problem than a single room that had to be cordoned off because it couldn't climb the slope. Ever since I got this vacuum, I've been trying to make my home more robot friendly, which has worked to a degree, but area blocking has been the best solution. To this day it gets stuck on bumper modifications and sometimes the vacuum still gets access to a closed area. Since the app was updated to fix my issues, the robot does a great job with the additional features. I set it up every morning around 4am to mop the floor and as long as it doesn't get stuck I'll find that it's charging at the base station. In addition, the LIDAR sensor provides an image of your home, allowing you to block areas or clean specific areas with just one sweep of your home. The vacuum cleaner itself has three separate modes that are suitable for different occasions. Quiet when you're awake and don't want to be disturbed by noise, normal for everyday cleaning, and powerful for hard-to-pick items like powder. This came in very handy when working with flour in the kitchen: after cooking, I can just tell the robot to clean the part of the floor I soiled, and it will take care of it itself. Robot and doesn't switch between hardwood and carpet often, I'd recommend it, but if you have at least one carpet that's a little thick/thin and takes up most of the space, then you could end up picking up robot every morning because of it stuck. I would say that Tecbot is stuck for half the morning.
