I bought this to replace a similar convertor purchased from Best Buy that is no longer available. I use a Windows 10 PC that I use to stream TV throughtout my house. I route the PC HDMI signal to a 5-way splitter and then to several devices (VCR, Big Screen, RF modulator etc). This convertor replaces the unit that feeds my VCR. The problem is that, when in connected, it back-feeds information through the splitter and tries to install software in the PC.it takes over with a full PC screen, but video off in one corner. The PC fails to respond.display settings.even task manager. I tried several times.same problem of trying to install itself and locking up my PC.being returned.
