Great Value Tail Light

***Updated July 9, 2017*** My cycling friends and I recommend this light to our friends. I rode the bike behind the riders who were using this light so I decided to buy one => VERY BRIGHT. The unit is small, like a typical Planet Bike taillight, but looks great in daylight, while the Planet Bike does well in shaded areas and dusk/night - I don't plan on using this light in dusk/night, but I imagine if the intensity could be sufficiently reduced (I'll be using the Planet Bike light at dusk/night). The clamp on the light allows me to use it on my saddlebag and therefore on any bike, but on my serious bike without a racket I use a chain mount (there isn't enough room on *my* seat tube to mount it). I attached the mount to the chainstay with a rubber grommet; it doesn't move -- ***Update July 9, 2017***: I tried it without the rubber boot and it moves. I have a friend who doesn't like the use of bright lights in the tempo line. So I placed the chain mount as low as possible to minimize glare in the eyes of the rider behind me. I find the USB charging port easy to use, but I have to be careful when opening and closing it and plugging and unplugging the charging cable. I rode with the flashlight on flashing mode for over 4 hours and had NO issues with it being completely empty for the rest of the ride. I have another century (6 hours) to ride with him. If I do, I might consider updating this review. ***Update July 9, 2017***: I rode the Century for just under 6 hours today with the lights flashing the whole way - no problem. I don't need all the flash options, but it's easy to change them to the ones I need. I like the constant light option with flash because it helps, which is why I've read about motorists estimating the distance between a motorist and a cyclist - haven't used it yet until I get a better idea of battery life on my trip (usually driving I 30-60 miles per trip). I didn't use the flash speed adjust button as it's not very useful to me - the default speeds are fine. This light is $42 and it's not expensive. Buy it without hesitation - you won't be disappointed here.*** Update 5th August *** The driver of the car asked me about my tail light because he could see it so far in broad daylight.
