Great little kettle great customer service

I've had this kettle for about 6 months and love it although it's actually my second. About a few weeks after the first one arrived, I noticed a tiny pin-sized hole on the side at the base. Small drops of water flowed. I contacted their customer service via email (there was no phone number) and they answered me immediately and sent me a new one for free asap. They even emailed later to make sure the new one had arrived and was in good condition. The new one was great. I'm the only coffee drinker in my house, so pouring coffee is better than having a coffee maker taking up space on my counter. Handle and grip do not get hot. They heat up, but not so much that they can't be touched. I like that the handle is a little farther from the kettle to avoid burning your knuckles. I have small hands but if you have big hands like my husband that would be a plus. It holds just the right amount of water for me. If I fill it about half full, I'll have enough water for a cup of coffee and more. The water flows evenly from the spout. Easy to keep clean. I wash it every day and once a week heat a mixture of water and vinegar to remove limescale. Pipe cleaners from the Dollar Store craft section clean the spout (I do this weekly with some soap). If you have big hands, you can use a bottle brush to clean the inside. I use one although my hand goes through the hole leaving little room. This works a little better. The only thing I would watch out for is that if the water gets too hot and boils too much, it pours out of the spout. It does NOT whistle like a traditional kettle so you need to keep an eye on it. This is just something to know, especially if you have young children. However, I don't blame the teapot. It's just physics and user error. I managed not to cook it just this week. As long as you can see it (hear the gurgling sounds and watch the vapor) it's not a problem. I would only let this opinion sway if you're too busy in the morning to keep track or if you're worried about young children.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • I'll write back later
