Failed due to bad glue

I read reviews that said the glue was bad but I bought it anyway as I thought a joint sealer would suffice would to be glued to the wall. After the first application of the connection everything looked normal. Well the next morning I went to apply a second coat of compound and the patch failed completely. It separated from the wall at 2 corners. Now I have to remove and re-sand everything and hopefully I can use the same patch. For a few bucks more, I should have just bought a new sheet of drywall.
