Review on πŸ”Œ POWRUI USB Wall Charger 6-Outlet Extender with Surge Protection, 2 USB Charging Ports and Night Light - White" by Adam Martinez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect fit Flush, adjustable

I've read reviews saying this outlet either doesn't fit or is proud of the wall. You must plug it into regular outlets that maintain correct electrical polarity. They have a wider neutral contact and a narrower "hot" contact. If you have an old house with old style outlets, you may need to convert them to a modern style to use this power strip. The back of this new extension is also completely flat. If the outlet you plug into rises above the wall, so does this new power strip. I modified my existing wall outlet to sit deeper in the outlet using the various nylon standoffs available from Revain. (See 150 Swpeet Nylon O-Ring Nut Kit Assortment). This allows you to adjust the depth of your existing socket so that the new extension sits perfectly flush with the wall. I would go with these as you will likely need to adjust the depth of your existing socket to fit flush with your new extension whichever extension you buy. Unless your existing outlet (let alone a wall plate) sits perfectly flush with the wall. Another reviewer said the screw that attaches the new extension to the existing wall outlet wasn't a standard size but mine was, it uses the standard 6-32 thread that standard wall plates use so there's no need to buy screws with those threads. Sized to plug an extension cord into an outlet, at least I didn't. Mine fits perfectly flush though, the offset sockets allow for the use of mains transformers along with the power cords. Very comfortable, night lighting is a nice addition.
