Review on HP 2711X 27 Inch LED Monitor: Height & Tilt Adjustment, Plus 3D Capability by Charles Wheeler

This monitor is flawless. I like the clarity and the shiny glass. Many reviewers complain about the reflection, but mine is in a dark room with a single overhead light. I have no reflections in my room. This monitor is perfect for a room where there is no bright light shining on the front of the monitor. I play online games like World of Warcraft and also work from home. 1080p video is great for both. The size is great for gaming and allows me to open two text documents side by side and compare the documents without squinting. There was zero dead pixels even though it's an LED, so translate that to zero dead LEDs. The monitor was carefully packed. It was easy to assemble and set up. Simply attach the base, connect the power and video source and you're done. Your operating system will recognize and display the monitor without adding drivers. Of course, you can always add them and tweak the system to achieve the perfect color balance. I had to lower the brightness as it was set to 100. 50 was enough for me. The green was a little noticeable, but setting it 3 points lower made the color more even. I also have a 25 inch version of this monitor and am glad I upgraded. At first I was worried it might be too big, but it's not too big.
