Review on Microplane 38004 Professional Stainless Construction by Adrienne Phillips

Everything is fine. Bought to replace very old cheese graters (don't think I will). The blade is quite sharp and shaves cheese easily. It's a bit thin, which is probably why it's so sharp. It's also a bit small, especially if you buy the cheese in big blocks. The biggest problem for me is that it is labeled "GREAT GRATER". I would call it "EXCELLENT" as the grated cheese is quite small and almost translucent. In the photos you can see how the Microplane Coarse and Extra Coarse compare to my old coarse and medium graters. The Microplane Extra Coarse is comparable to my coarse grater, but the Microplane Coarse doesn't even come close to the "Coarse" grater.
