I think the wooden ball stopper made me stop and look at that wine decanter again. That's why I ordered it to review, so I was understandably disappointed when it arrived without a plug. Real cork in the description is not specified. However, I find it somewhat misleading if it is featured prominently in a photo and is unlisted or listed that it is not part of the article. I'm not sure what I expected from the protrusions sticking up from the bottom of the carafe. In the first photo they look like they are ice, but they are part of the carafe itself. This can be seen more clearly in one of the last photos. Rather unusual and in my opinion not as beautiful in "live" as in the photo. However, a friend raved about it so much he will probably get it as a gift and I'm glad to know it might be a five star article for those like me who didn't see the ball cap photo. .
