I got 130v 25w bulbs that looked exactly like the original bulbs, but the first bulb I tried didn't get hot enough to get the lava flowing. On the internet I found that 130V bulbs have a thicker element than 120V bulbs, which offers less resistance for current to pass through. Less resistance means less heat. While these bulbs are certainly suitable for household appliances or other purposes, they are not suitable for lava lamps. I give one star because they are advertised as lava lamps when I feel like they shouldn't be.
