Being brand new to the Pis I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get this to work, but it was pretty easy to get started. Soldering the connector and terminal blocks required a thin-tipped soldering iron, but wasn't difficult. The instructions and examples from the Adafruit website were very easy to follow and I've had DC motors and stepper motors that worked right out of the box with no issues. The only reason I took off two stars was because one of the two terminal blocks was missing. (Reading other reviews this seems to be a common problem) so I had to solder the power supply directly to the board. It makes switching power supplies like a PITA, and if I wasn't so excited to try this thing I'd be returning it and ordering another. Overall it's a great addition to the Pi and fun to experiment with.
