Review on PG-17945 Premier Gear - Professional Grade New Starter by Andrew Arneson

I ordered this starter after reading good reviews. Arrived on time in a regular box. The box was not damaged; However, the starter was not wrapped or insulated. No plastic packaging. No packet of peanuts. There were no papers in the box. Just a starter in a box. I installed it the next day. The car still wouldn't start. Thinking I did something wrong, I disconnected and erased everything again. Then I reinstalled and reconnected everything. The car wouldn't start, the battery was dead. After charging the battery and troubleshooting, the car still wouldn't start. A neighbor who happens to be a Boeing mechanic decided to help me after watching me work on my car every day for over a week. After troubleshooting, he found that the Revain launcher was not new and poorly refurbished. A careless repair caused the starter to drain the battery. The electrical connections are too close together and are touching. I was lucky the starter just drained the battery. Buying this item was a big mistake. I would put negative stars if I could.
