Review on Pirelli Powergy 245/45 R18 100Y summer by Micha Szymaski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm happy with it, the price and the quality, I recommend to buy it.

It would appear that they are tires designed for commercial vehicles, complete with all of the associated benefits and drawbacks. abrasion-resistant yet, quite surprisingly, maintaining a low level of noise. It just so happened that I went to the tire shop in the store to change my shoes for summer tires. However, the guys at the shop flatly refused to install the Michelin from the directional rain series that I brought with me because the wear is such that the rubber needs to be changed, and at this point in time it is already more than five years old. And it turned out that there was just one model available, despite the fact that there was a reasonably big selection available under the order in three days. Convinced to accept the offer. When rolled for the first 500 kilometers on a dry road, the rubber is much noisier than it was in the past in the speed range of 30 to 90 kilometers per hour. On the other hand, the price of the older rubber is now 2.5 times more! When traveling at high speeds, the rubber noticeably reduces its level of noise, although the transverse fissures in the asphalt are typically unnoticeable, much like the vast majority of asphalt repairs. On a road that is wet, there is noticeably less noise, the rubber preserves the road in good condition, but it does not get into puddles when there is a throng. Rubber has a negative reaction when exposed to koleynlst. The rubber is noticeably more rigid now compared to how it used to be. Around 500 kilometers later, there was a significant change in the level of noise. At this point, the level of noise is solely determined by the quality of the asphalt pavement. A neighbor who was riding along in my vehicle remarked that there was absolutely no noise coming from the tires. In general, the value of rubber is pretty satisfactory for what it costs.

Pros
  • Excellent traction both on dry and wet pavement. It is almost impossible to discern the transverse seams and cracks, in addition to the repairs.
Cons
  • Depending on the quality of the asphalt, it might be quite noisy.
