Review on 🔧 Makita 9920 3 Inch 24 Inch Variable Speed Belt Sander: The Ultimate Woodworking Tool by Wiktor Fokt ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I have not regretted the purchase, everything is fine.

I bought for ~ 6000. while in most stores it was for 11,000. It was sold cheaply, apparently due to the rare size of the tape. With difficulty I later found the remnants in one store of the Praktika tape. Original Makita tapes are very expensive. But, probably, you can cut off a 100x610 tape from the edge (I haven’t tried it myself). Sanded a concrete wall from cement blunders. There wasn't much dust. The dust collector works well. Particularly pleased with the auto-centering of the tape. It is not necessary to constantly adjust the position of the tape so that it does not slip to the side during work. Would have given it a 5 if it weren't for the rare size of the tape.

Pros
  • Powerful. Durable metal body. Tape auto-centering. belt speed adjustment.
Cons
  • Rare tape size 75x610 mm. Graphite sole - wears out quickly, is expensive, sold in few places and absolutely not needed. The right edge of the tape does not go close to the end of the sole - there is a dead zone of 5-7 millimeters.
