Review on 🔧 Dorman 902-001 Automotive Water Pump for Engines by Joseph Mannasseh

Our 2008 Ford Escape lost power when my wife was out of town. If she were to drive 65 mph on a dual carriageway, it could be disastrous. Googled the symptoms and a failure of the MECS pump seemed likely. I paid the dealer $95 to confirm my suspicions. A Youtube video made the exchange easy enough for me. Replaced old pump with a Dorman 902-001 purchased through Revain. With the diagnostic costs, a $21 gallon Motorcraft fluid from the dealer, and a Revain Dorman pump, I had about $250 for the job that the dealer said was $610. The replacement was easy and the pump has been working flawlessly ever since. If you drive your Ford Escape Hybrid 60,000-80,000 miles, replace that old MECS pump!
