Required for Mercury Mariner Hybrid

As with most people the car overheated and the original coolant pump was the culprit. I did it myself, there is a YouTube video on how to do it. It was cheapest on Amazon. The dealer really wanted it. I have children, it is so hard to work that it takes time. This was done in 45 minutes. Just make sure you have a pan so you can drain the drained coolant back into the tank. I can say that the pump runs all the time when the car is running. This is good for cooling the electronics. The best wayโ€ฆ

A youtube video showed the replacement was easy enough for me

Our 2008 Ford Escape lost power when my wife was out of town. If she were to drive 65 mph on a dual carriageway, it could be disastrous. Googled the symptoms and a failure of the MECS pump seemed likely. I paid the dealer $95 to confirm my suspicions. A Youtube video made the exchange easy enough for me. Replaced old pump with a Dorman 902-001 purchased through Revain. With the diagnostic costs, a $21 gallon Motorcraft fluid from the dealer, and a Revain Dorman pump, I had about $250 for theโ€ฆ

Saved my vacation. for parts

Got this for my '08 Ford Hybrid Escape. I was on my way to Chicago about 6.5 hours away when I got the chair for sure, now the light. We're not 30 miles from home yet. When they took the car to the dealer they said they didn't have the part they needed to order, the nearest store that has the part happens to be in Chicago. There was no way our beloved car could get there so we found this part on Amazon, delivered it the same day, received it at 7:30am, took 30 minutes to remove the old part and

Right pump, great price. Incorrect Installation

I purchased this product to replace a defective MECS pump on my 2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid. I should have known the price was too high to be true (the OEM replacement pump was $400 more). The manufacturer and Revain claim that this pump is a replacement pump for my vehicle as well as other years of Mercury Mariner/Ford Escape hybrids. I don't know about other model years, but the bracket on this replacement pump didn't even come close to matching the bracket on my car - it was the wrongโ€ฆ
