Designed for heavy cutting such as B. Oxidized gelcoat on a boat. Don't waste your time mixing a gelcoat that is in very poor condition. It needs to be sanded first. Too many people will polish with a heavy cutting compound like this and see a big difference. After 3-6 months it will become chalky again because you cannot protect the gelcoat until you get an unoxidized gelcoat. Wax or sealant will not fully adhere until you reach a clean surface. Gelcoat does not oxidize in a uniform layer. This creates holes and valleys. Compounding removes some of the oxidized gelcoat and makes it shiny. Even washing will make it shiny. This product is very homogeneous and needs to be supplemented with a finer formulation. After several years of annual polishing, only a thin paste and polishing paste is required.
