Review on Gibson 9532 Super Truck Performance Exhaust System by Brandon Mcvey

Shipped on time, arrived in good condition except for a slightly bent end of the exhaust pipe. Installation took about 1.5 hours. Build quality is good, it looks solid with no major flaws or flaws. The hangers were a little out of order; but easy to fix. Definitely louder than expected, which wasn't a problem for me. However, it didn't sound very good to me. Very scratchy (this is not usually a problem for me either, I have two in-line V8s in my fleet). The problem was that it's a very "whistling" sound (?), not so much like an exhaust sound but more like rushing air I think. So instead I fitted two 4 inch stainless steel resonating tips (the spacing is perfect) and it made a difference. Muffled the sound a bit but smoothed out the overall sound and improved the tone significantly; now it sounds great! Keep the square tips for another project's truck so no waste While not perfect it seems like a good product for the most part and I still enjoy modifying/improving things so I'm happy with my purchase .
