Review on Wodent Wheel Senior Tail Shield by Detra Carter

The sticker on the right side of the back says this wheel is not recommended for gerbils because they chew and my boys are big rodents but after a month of using this wheel they have not chewed at all! Gerbil owners breathed a sigh of relief! One of my boys LOVES this bike and will happily spend over 40 minutes on it every day, even after a long time out of the cage. The other doesn't care, he does a 30 second sprint and then leaves him alone for a week. I think how your pet likes this wheel depends on their personality. It's fairly quiet, but you would definitely hear it if it was in your room at night. The cage for my gerbils is in our basement, just below our room, and I never hear the wheels unless I'm in the basement with them. It can handle very fast runners and I know it's safe for their necks and tails. to win! However, it cannot be disassembled. So if you have a hedgehog or other animal that poops while walking, it will be difficult to clean it up. Otherwise just putting it under water and drying it when it gets dirty (once a month for me) is all it takes.
