Review on 🐠 NICREW Submersible Power Filter with Aeration System and Sponge Filter for Fish Tanks - Versatile Internal Aquarium Filter by Vanessa Lopez

Poor quality filter

I had high hopes for this filter, but unfortunately almost everything in it is terrible. It's incredibly loud right out of the box and has only gotten louder over the 6 days I've been using it. I tried to contact the seller regarding this and they just said to "fully submerge it" because they tried to mortgage it because the water makes it noisy, although I tried to explain that it is the motor and that the device was already completely submerged in water. They then suggested that I just don't use it in the bedroom. It was in our living room, not the bedroom, and loud enough to disturb work there. In addition, the solution to the problem of a noisy, defective filter should not consist in suggesting to the buyer that it should be used in certain rooms of the house. The description is also very inaccurate. You can't use the smallest for anything from 1 to 10 gallons. This creates too much turbulence for many fish species. It also cannot be used in every sand tank as it simply sucks in the substrate. And while it says you can control the flow of bubbles, it's a simple clamp on a bubbler hose. This in no way affects the flow or suction of the filter, nor does it have a switch or way to change it. The only advantages of this device are how small and thin it is. Hiding in an aquarium is very easy. And the suckers are great. But unfortunately none of these points play a role in a useless filter.
