I fractured my tibia in my early twenties and now have end-stage osteoarthritis; Basically, my ankle is bone on bone. I have special ankle braces that don't work well with low or heeled shoes. Because of this, I had two interchangeable boots with built-in ankle support. I love the fact that I can wear this brace with my Teva sandals, work boots and any other shoes I have. the end of a long day's work on the pasture or in the forest.
