yes this is real crystal file not fake. I actually bought a fake from a local store the day after my last crystal file broke in half, so I knew fakes existed. I've tried finding another genuine one at local beauty shops but they don't seem to be sold anywhere else - I wonder if that's because they last so long.? Since I couldn't find them in store, I decided to order online anyway. I was nervous that this too might be fake but was relieved when it arrived that it was real. In theory these files last forever but I have a nail biting problem that requires frequent filing which causes them to wear out over time and also tend to break (I think I've had about 2 in the last 8 or so years -3 broken ) so good to know I can always order a replacement online.
